PRESCHOOLS AND PRIMARY SCHOOLS
Microcom invests in education, a priority area of intervention established by its founder and CEO.
To introduce younger generations to information and communication technologies, several schools and universities have benefited from donations of computer equipment and Internet-connected IT facilities through our satellite network.
With the objective of creating meaningful opportunities for young people, who are essential to the country’s development and future, Microcom supports several preschools, primary schools and higher education institutions throughout the country.
A number of Congolese pupils and students have also received support from Microcom for school and university tuition fees.
Our contributions include:
• Donation of computer equipment to the University of Kindu and MAPON University;
• Donation of computer equipment to the École Primaire et Secondaire de Kindu;
• Donation of computer equipment to Lumbu Lumbu Hospital in Kindu;
• Donation of computers to Les Buissonets school in Lubumbashi;
• Donation of computers to Nzolo/Ceco preschool in Kimpese;
• Donation of several computers to Don Bosco Preschool in Masina, Kinshasa.
Through its charitable initiatives, Microcom also supports people living with disabilities. For several years, beneficiaries have received crutches, wheelchairs and assistance with other essential needs.
